Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, & Tapas is taking over South Florida

Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, & Tapas is a little taste of Italy, right in South Florida. This contemporary restaurant offers authentic Italian dishes in a casual atmosphere. There are several locations, including Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Coral Springs, and Delray Beach.

My husband and I had dinner in the Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, & Tapas location in Weston, Florida. As a little girl, I was raised in Weston, Florida. I would ride my bike or walk through the Country Isles plaza as a pass time. Now, the Country Isles Plaza has taken a sophisticated turn by adding the European flavors of Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, & Tapas. As a resident to the South Florida region, I can easily say that Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, & Tapas is the best restaurant that has graced the Country Isles Plaza and I've been visiting this plaza for almost 30 years

When I walked towards the doors of Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, & Tapas restaurant I was pleasantly surprised when the doors swung open. I was shocked to see such a modern and looking restaurant within the wood-faced store front of this plaza. We were greeted by a friendly staff and taken to our seats. We started off with craft cocktails. There were so many options, that I asked the server for his input. Did I want the Mixed Berry Mojito, the Moscow Mule, or the specialty drink for Breast Cancer Awareness month? After going back and forth, I chose the mixed berry mojito and my husband chose an Old Fashion.

Then, we had some warm bread, accompanied by olive oil. The bread served at a restaurant is so telling of the upcoming experience, and this bread whispered in my ear and told me to sit back and enjoy. The bread was warm, made fresh in the restaurant each day, and absolutely delicious. At this moment, I knew that we were in for a treat. If they could make the bread taste this good, I knew that there was more magic to come. My husband had seconds of the bread, and I had to remind him to slow down because our main course was around the corner. The menu had tapas (Caprese, Burrata, Manzo, Veal/Chicken Meatballs, Eggplant Parmigiana, Fritto Misto, Italian Sausage, Octopus, Zucchini Flowers, Clams & Mussels), calzoni, soups, paninis, pizza, salads, and an assortment of entrees. We ordered a Beets Salad before our meal. Our salad came with arugula, Gorgonzola cheese, candies walnuts, and balsamic vinaigrette. I loved it!!

There were so many entree options to choose from, so my husband and I decided to share our meals. He ordered the Margherita pizza and I selected the Chilean Sea Bass. We went to New York last month and I can honestly say that the slice of pizza that I had at Angelo's tasted better than the pizza that we had in Yonkers, New York. I would easily stop by just for the pizza. Sometimes something as simple as the right sauce and bread combination can create the perfect blend. Not to mention that they use a wood-fire oven to create the perfect crust. The Chilean Sea Bass was absolutely perfect. The sea bass was topped with spinach and lobster; the sweetness of the lobster and the savory flavor of the spinach made me a very happy lady.

For dessert, we had the tiramisu. The tiramisu was definitely in my top 5 favorite tiramisu desserts. The expresso flavor lingered in our mouth as the mild sweetness blended like a mound of perfection. As you can see, we were beyond pleased!

I have even better news! If you don't live near the Weston location, you can go to any of their other locations. They even offer brunch, so I will definitely have to make another visit. You've got to try it and tell me about your experience.
