BRGR Stop: Serves Some of the Best Burgers in South Florida!

BRGR Stop is a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that offers burgers, shakes, and almost every comfort food from our childhood. Their burgers are topped with some of the most unique combinations and their craft milkshakes can be topped with alcohol to give a little kick to your childhood favorites. The BRGR Stop Menu is definitely one of a kind! You never know what you'll be served next because everything has a creative spin, great presentation, and taste absolutely incredible.

My husband and I walked into BRGR Stop a few weeks ago and we immediately knew that we were not entering a typical restaurant. There was a huge truck with road signs decorating the wall to resonate with the name of the restaurant, a vintage van on on the opposite wall where staff members made drinks and shakes to please the palates of both children and adults, and graffiti decor to go with the theme of the restaurant.

My husband and I spent a great deal of time trying to decide what to order for our drinks. You can't go to BRGR Stop and order a Coke when there are so many boozy shakes, cocktails, and floats to choose from! I ordered the "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" (picture to the left) boozy shake. The "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" boozy shake is a dream for the kid in all of us. It's a glass full of childhood memories. It has Nutella, Oreo ice cream, Oreos, Cracker Jacks, toffee nuts, and its topped off with Jack Daniels Whiskey. My husband ordered the "Honey Boo Bear." The "Honey Boo Bear" is a cocktail that is served in a bear container and it has Jack Daniels, honey, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. My husband enjoyed his drink, but once he saw mine he couldn't stop drinking my drink. I couldn't blame him......the "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" boozy shake was irresistible.

For our appetizers, we ordered "The Big A$$ Pretzel" and "Da Best Mexican Street Corn." "The Big A$$ Pretzel" (picture to the left) is a 24 oz gigantic hot soft pretzel for 2 or 3 served with Copperpoint beer cheese and grainy mustard. I'm not even a big pretzel person and I fell in love with this appetizer. I found myself closing my eyes and thinking of my days at the carnival as a child. I can honestly say that this is the best pretzel that I have ever had! Our other appetizer, "Da Best Mexican Street Corn" is a sweet white corn grilled in the husk, slathered with a house made mexican queso fresco lime crema, dusted with ancho espresso powder and topped with cojita cheese and cilantro, and then drizzled with fresh squeezed lime juice. It is soooo tasty! There's nothing like cojita cheese and cilantro on hot corn.

For the main course, we ordered the "Serenity Bleu Burger" and the "Veggie Grilled Portobello." As most of you know, my husband and I are pescatarians so we replaced the meat in the "Serentity Bleu Burger" with the BRGR Stop vegan Impossible burger "meat." The "Serenity Bleu Burger" is marinated in our buffalo sauce and topped with Dutch blue cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onions. I've had many vegan burgers and I can easily say that BRGR Stop has the best Impossible Burger on the market! There are days that I wonder how long I will be a pescatarian, and with meals like this, I can be pescatarian for a lifetime. The "Veggie Grilled Portobello" is a balsamic marinated portobello with roasted pepper, zuchinni, oven roasted tomatoes, topped with smoked gouda cheese, and a roasted garlic aioli. This was my first mushroom burger and I was really surprised how tasty it was! It's full of flavor and a great choice for people that want a healthier option to a great burger.

The staff at BRGR Stop were so hospitable. They seemed so proud of their unique menu, and appeared genuinely excited to share their menu favorites and cool tips. Make sure to ask for Ron or Dedric, and tell them that The Florida Palate sent you!

If you break up with your significant other, had a bad day, or if you're just longing for a great meal...we found your spot. I can't wait to go back to try all the other boozy shakes, cocktails, appetizers, and burgers. Each one is uniquely named and made, so I want to try as many as I can!
