Grimaldi's Pizzeria at Westshore Plaza

Grimaldi's Pizzeria is popping up all over the sunshine state with a unique coal brick-oven pizza flavor. Grimaldi's has a long New York history stemming from the 1990s, and it has remained true to its original roots 3 decades later. The first Grimaldi's open in 1990, under the Brooklyn Bridge, and the the owners have continue to take great pride in its fresh ingredients, handmade mozzarella, and secret pizza dough/sauce.
The Grimald's Pizzeria at the Westshore Plaza in Tampa sits outside of the mall and it has a causal atmosphere. It includes indoor and outdoor seating with traditional red and white checkered table cloth, reminiscent of a traditional Italian restaurant in New York City.

Last weekend, my family and I decided to enjoy lunch outside at Grimaldi's Westshore Plaza. We all ordered the lunch combo. It includes an 8 inch one-topping pizza or calzone, individual salad (choice of Caesar or a Grimaldi's house salad), and a soft drink/iced tea for only $9.49! It is really a full course meal at an amazing price. Make sure that you stop by between 11 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday to enjoy this treat as well.

There are so many toppings to choose from, you'll definitely find something for everyone. We dined with a party of four and we ordered the ricotta and peppers pizza, Margherita pizza, cheese pizza, and pepperoni and ricotta pizza. The lunch special is a perfect size for one, and you may even have some left over to take home.

Grimaldi's offers traditional Italian desserts seen in its original stores. For dessert, we ordered the Oreo Cheesecake and the Tiramisi. If you stop by this summer, you can even try the blueberry and strawberry cheesecake.
Extra information: Grimaldhi's is a great place to invite a large group, have an intimate lunch, or grab a bite alone. The outside area offers a lot of space for a moderate sized party and it even has fans and heaters to adjust to the Florida weather.
Ordering is very convenient. You can order by phone or online. Curbside to-go service is offered from 5 pm - 9 pm.
Drink specials are offered every day from 3:30 - 6 pm. So, the prime time to stop by is 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm to get drink and lunch specials at a significantly lower rate!
The restaurant offers Gluten friendly options. However, they do not currently have vegan alternatives.
Would I recommend it: If you're looking for an exact replica of a NY slice, this is not the place to go for pizza. However, if you would like to enjoy a pie in a casual environment with a good price, then you should definitely stop by with a few friends.
