Pisco y Nazca: Doral's New Hot Spot

Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar is Doral, Fl's new hot spot! Doral is quickly becoming South Florida's construction grounds for contemporary living and urban appeal with a South Florida flare. If Doral continues to place great food spots like Pisco y Nazca within its borders, it might just become the next Miami Beach!

Pisco y Nazca serves Peruvian food with a modern twist. The plates are aesthetically appealing as it boast lots of colors, hues, and spices. Even with its chic appeal, the restaurant makes sure to capture the authentic Peruvian taste that its customers appreciate it. The restaurant is known for its ceviche dishes, unique cocktails, and flavorful entrees.

It is located in The Shops at Downtown Doral, alongside high rise condominiums. The restaurant is open and airy and has a nice buzz at the bar and terrace of people enjoying good company, great food, and innovative drinks. The kitchen is open as well, so you can take a peak at the culinary masterminds at work.

My husband and I went to Pisco and Nazca on a Friday night. We were excited to try their food because it was highly recommended by a friend. When we arrived at the restaurant, we immediately noticed the energy of laughter, fun, and relaxation. The restaurant was dimly lit to fit the mood of the restaurant. The bar is overlooking the terrace and near the front of the restaurant, which invites people to come in for a meal or just grab a drink and a small plate.

The staff is incredibly friendly and help you find something that you will love on the menu. Pisco y Nazca have created such creative craft drinks and cocktails. Their drinks have unique combinations, spices, and names. You can get a drink that is sweet, savoury, or spicy! I ordered a "Nazca Mule" because I am a moscow mule drinker, but I can't wait to try all of their other drinks! My Nazca Mule came with ginger beer and lime juice and it was devine!

For starters, my husband and I shared the "Anticucho Costilla" which is the braised short rib with aji amarillo whipped potatao. I can honestly say that this was one of the best braised short ribs that I have had in my life. It was tender, juicy, and .......simply perfect!

For our main course, I ordered the "Salmon Andino" and my husband ordered the "Churascazo" The salmon andino is seered pieces of salmon with quinoa salad and pieces of avocado. It was a healthy choice and it tasted good. However, I think that there are better choices on the menu. My husband's churascazo was really tasty! It included a 12 oz grilled skirt steak, lima bean tacu tacu, and salsa criolla.

For dessert, my husband ordered the "Cholo Brownie." It is a dark chocolate brownie with Kahlua chocolate mousse, lucuma ice cream, and walnuts. I think my husband ordered it because he figured that anything with Kaulua, chocolate, and ice cream had to be amazing. He really enjoyed his dessert! However, there are so many interesting and innovative desserts to choose from that you could order a different one on each visit.

Extra Information: Try to make reservations for dinner so that you don't have an extended wait.

Would I recommend it: Absolutely! I can't believe that I haven't been back yet. It is my new spot in Doral and I am really excited to try their other dishes and drinks. In Peru, “Entre Pisco Y Nazca” means having fun in a social environment encompassing exceptional cocktails. I can't think of a better name for this phenomenal restaurant.
