Midici The Neapolitan Pizza Company has only opened several locations in Florida, and they have already created a completely different category of pizza that encompasses the flavor of New York, the chic style of Europe, and organic ingredients we've longed for across our country! Midici Neapolitan Pizza Company uses organic products and non-GMO ingredients. Midici has set itself apart by using a 300 year old recipe for its crust and baking their pies in a man-made wood oven that only takes 90 seconds per pizza due to its high temperature of 1000 degree F. They provide gourmet foods in an upbeat and friendly environment that makes you want to come back with a friend.
Midici Neapolitan Pizza Company is more than just a pizza restaurant. They serve an assortment of salads, artisan burrata cheese dishes, and incredible desserts. There are choices around each corner, from what topping to put on your pizza to which flavor to place in your soda. The restaurant empowers you to create the meal that your heart desires.
When I walked into the Midici Neapolitan Pizza Company in Fort Lauderdale, I immediately felt the positive energy from the staff chanting their welcome greetings and the upbeat music playing in the background. I placed my pizza order and watched the culinary team assemble like ants on an important mission. The team worked cohesively as they flattened my pizza dough, added the tomato sauce, and provided me with an arrangement of toppings before my pizza was placed in the brick oven.

While I waited for my pizza, I stopped by their drink station. You can choose from typical carbonated beverages or create a carbonated Italian drink. Their drink machine, which is all computer operated, has an option for carbonated water to be selected and then you can choose the Italian flavoring you would like to drink. Apply two to three squirts of this Italian goodness (aka flavoring), and you've got yourself an Italian soda. I spent some time deciding which flavor to place in my carbonated water at their soda station, and I chose coconut. I loved it! In addition to juice and soda beverages, the restaurant also provides craft beers, gourmet coffees, and wine.

I ordered the "Double Pepperoni" pizza and my husband ordered the "Devil’s Pizza" because he likes spicy food. The "Double Pepperoni" pizza was absolutely amazing. There was so much flavor in each bite! It was topped with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, gourmet pepperoni, Italian salami, parmesan, sweet basil, and extra virgin olive oil. I could almost taste each ingredient that was placed on top of the pizza. I slowed down because I wanted to savor each bite. I closed my eyes and tapped my foot because I knew that this was a good slice of pizza! As an original New Yorker, you learn a few things about food and one of those things would be quality pizza.This was definitely the top of the line! This is what I would imagine a slice would taste like on the cobblestone streets of Italy. My husband's "Devil's Pizza" was a conversation starter. The heat comes from pieces of spicy Italian salami, the Italian sausage, and chilli placed on the pizza. Even though the pizza has such a hot arrangement, the spice doesn't overpower the pizza. The basil, mozzarella, parmigiano, and extra virgin olive oil provides sweetness so that the pizza has a harmonious blend with each bite. My husband's nose started to gather a dew of sweat with each bite, but the spice didn't stop him. He loved it!

I thought that I would get a little frisky and try something that I would never order at a pizza chain; the "Burrata with Melon Prosciutto Di San Daniele." Let's start off by saying that I was speechless. The crunch of the bread, the richness of the prosciutto, and the sweetness of the cantaloupe created such a savory flavor. I can imagine a group of friends sharing one of these cheese dishes while hanging out or an individual ordering this as their meal. It's definitely a crowd pleaser.
Just when I thought that things couldn't get any better, I decided to have dessert. The Nutella calzone created my O-M-G moment! The calzone is warm and breaded. It's filled with nutella and an assortment of berries. When the crust, berries, and Nutella all ended up on my fork for one delicious bite, I had to figure out when I was coming back for lunch.

Extra Information: Midici Neapolitan Pizza Company is a pizza chain that plans on expanding rather quickly so if there is not a local Midici Neapolitan Pizza Company near you, you may have a restaurant coming to your town in the next 2 years.
