Loews Hotel: Sophisticated Class of the South

Loews Hotel is an elegant, classic hotel in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia that mirrors the sophisticated class of the South often seen in old love stories, and at the same time it manages to embody the contemporary aura of modern Atlanta. 'I stayed at this resort for a few nights due to a girls' trip to Atlanta, Georgia in September 2016.

Quality: The resort has its own identity and is a distinguished facility in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. The staff was always well dressed in uniform to provide hospitable care and service to all of the guests. As you walk around the hotel, you can see that time, money, and attention has been well spent in making this hotel feel more like a resort than a standard hotel. The lobby is exquisite, the restaurant ("Saltwood") is incredible, and the rooms are slightly above the standard room offered in most domestic luxury hotels. Due to the nature of my trip, I stayed in a room with two double beds. The beds were very comfortable, but way too small for two people. The room also came with a pull-out sofa. Unfortunately, I was in pain for most of the following morning from the sofa. So, if you have more than two people in your party, opt for another room. The remainder of the hotel was open, spacious, and felt homely even with all of the grand decorations on the premises.

Service: Please go to our "Orange Meets Peach" series (http://www.thefloridapalate.com/single-post/2016/09/29/Orange-Meets-Peach---1) to read more about the staff members, and the service provided at the concierge desk, front desk, and in the restaurants. Overall, the staff at the Loews hotel did a great job of upholding the Loews name and providing me with a memorable stay.

Cleanliness: The rooms are immaculate, the premises are well kept, and the restaurants are very clean.

Price: This category is difficult assess because I split a room with two other people, which came out to be a remarkable price. However, for the service, amenities, and quality offered, I think that this hotel provides a fair price.

Experience: For my Florida residents, if you are going to the Atlanta area, this is a great hotel choice. It is central to the airport, great restaurants, the mall, and popular sights to see. I had an incredible time and I know you will too!

Extra information: This hotel is very dog friendly. There is a water and food dish at the front for pets and the concierge offers treats to the dogs. As animal friendly as the hotel is, I only saw two dogs during my stay, the dogs were always quiet, and I did not smell a hint of an animal in the lobby or rooms.

The "Bliss Spa" at the "W" hotel is a great spa option 5 minutes away. It offers a white robe experience, complimentary appetizers, and champagne. Unfortunately, the spa at the Loews Hotel doesn't come with the bells and whistles of the "W" hotel's spa. However, they do have a spa on the premises.

Would I recommend it: Absolutely! This is a great hotel for couples, friends, or for a solo getaway/business trip. I would definitely go back. However, next time, I'm getting my own room and I'm staying far away from the pull-out couch. Email me at contactus@thefloridapalate.com if you have more questions about this resort.
