TownePlace Suites Boynton Beach, FL

My friend, Rene, and I went to the Boynton Beach area to go to the "Taste History Culinary Tour." We decided to make a girls weekend out of the trip and stay at a local hotel. She works for the school district, so this was her last weekend before going back to work. So, a weekend get-away to relax before the school year began was just what the doctor, or in this case, Marriott ordered.

We stayed at the "TownPlace Suites in Boynton Beach, FL. It is considered one of Marriott's "upper midscale" hotels. On the outside of the hotel, I honestly thought that I was going to have a mediocre experience because the foyer and overhang were quite similar to a Courtyard hotel in Tampa that I had recently resided in. However, when I walked into the hotel I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby is modern, sleek, and very well-kept. It was well lit and inviting. After a long day of eating and walking at the "Taste History Culinary Tour," I took a big breath because I was starting to feel comfortable already.

Quality: We took the elevator to our floor, and opened the door. I was thrilled to see a full kitchen. I had no plans of cooking one thing on this trip, but I appreciated having the option to put left overs in the fridge, buy items from the store, and make a meal if I wanted to. After being on the road for the last few days, this kitchen somehow made the room feel like a home. I felt like I had my own Boynton Beach condominium. I loved the wood floors on the ground at the entrance of the studio and in the bathroom. It was warm and it had a northern feel.

The room was fully equipped with all of the basic amenities (flat screen television, phone, etc.). My favorite part of the room was the bed. It takes an amazing bed to impress me, and the beds at this hotel were beyond perfect. I have a sleep number bed at home, so I can adjust the bed to my liking. This bed needed no adjustments. The pillows snuggled with me, and the bed wrapped its arms around me and rocked me to sleep.

Service: The front desk service personnel are very friendly and so is the housekeeping crew. The staff were honestly like a breath of fresh air. They really wanted to see us smile and enjoy our time.

Cleanliness: The room was very clean. The lobby, hallways, bedrooms, and bathrooms are immaculate. I felt very comfortable.

Price: The price of the hotel per night is unbelieveable. The rates are very low for such an impressive interior and they even provide a continental breakfast in the morning.

Experience: I really enjoyed my stay at the "TownPlace Suites." It served its purpose for this trip. My friend and I had to try really hard to push ourselves out of the hotel room and enjoy some Boynton Beach nightlife. If it were up to us, we would have ordered take-out and stayed under the covers in our den of comfort.

Tip: The pool is adjacent to the parking lot, so there is not as much privacy and tranquility as some people may like. However, the hotel has placed a wooden barrier and shrubs to try to create more privacy for thier guests.

Would I recommend it: If you're going to the Boynton Beach or Delray Beach area for business or an extended-stay, in town for an event, bringing your kids with you, or visiting someone close by...then, this hotel goes above and beyond what you will ever need. However, if you are celebrating a big milestone in your life, looking for pampering at the spa, or coming for a romantic weekend this hotel may not be the place for you.
