Rice House of Kabob

My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant one day after attending an event in Miami. It is a Mediterranean chain restaurant that offers casual dining for lunch and dinner. in South Florida. You can get a quick bite to eat by picking up your food on a tray when it is ready or ordering take-out.

Upon entering the restaurant, you will see a room full of silver chairs and tables with a few televisions on the wall. The wall has a list of all of the combo meals that are offered and there is a small open fridge with drink options. As you walk to the front to place your order you will see desserts lined up, including their infamous baklava.

The menu has a list of Mediterranean items including chicken, beef, and fish. The side options are rice and salad. The food in this restaurant is extremely authentic. The meat is so tender and juicy! The fish is fried perfectly. Even though the fish seems to get smaller every time we order food here, we still go back because it is so good! All of the meals are packed with flavor. My favorite meal is the tilapia platter or the beef entrees. They could easily repackage these meals and serve them at a fancier Mediterranean restaurant.

The one drawback to the restaurant is that they do not cater well. They will provide a small amount of food for the number given. I remember when I asked them to cater a party at my house and I was extremely disappointed when the food arrived, especially since the manager was given the opportunity to fix the situation and chose not to do so. There was no way that the food provided could feed the guests at my home! Luckily, we had servers in place and other items that were cooked already to spread the food as far as we could.

Extra information: There is no outside seating. They do not have reservations. You can seat yourself at this restaurant. They do not offer private rooms for parties.

Would I go back again? Yes, every time that I am in the Doral area. However, I will never use them to cater another party. There is nothing more embarrassing than running out of food.
