Lime Fresh Mexican Grill
Florida residents love Mexican food and this fast food chain has definitely tried to meet the Mexican fast food lover's needs. This restaurant is located in the Pembroke Gardens shops. However, there are several other locations in South Florida, Central Florida, and Texas.
Upon entering the restaurant, you will usually be given a taco shaped menu and there is normally a short line. The menu includes tacos, burritos, salads, and other Mexican desirable foods. The restaurant is very small by Florida standards and is usually a little congested. You have to follow the line to pick up your food if you're going to get a take-out order or find an empty table if you plan on dining in. Either way, you'll find yourself in somebody's way. If you're looking for a relaxing lunch or dinner....this is not the place. However, you can sit outside to avoid the noise.
The staff seem very busy at all times and move quite quickly to get everyone's orders in and to meet the volume. However, they are really friendly, usually remember your name or your face, and make you feel welcome every time you visit.
The food is decent at best. Honestly, you get what you pay for. So, by fast food standards, the food is good. However, if you want truly authentic and delicious Mexican food you're going to have to spend a little more at a couple of other Mexican restaurants that will be mentioned in our blog in the near future.
For dessert, they make cinnamon chips with a whipped cream. If you eat it while it's hot, you'll definitely come back for more. It's fantastic!
Extra information: The restaurant does not take reservations. The restaurant staff moves fast, so tables empty quickly. You can usually get your food in 10-15 minutes. Take-out service is an option but they do not deliver. There are no private rooms.
Would I go back again: Yes, because it's a quick stop for lunch when I'm at work or if I want to pick up a quick dinner. However, it's not my first choice. I would love to hear about your experience. Write a comment on our blog, Facebook, or Twitter page!
