Top 7 Reasons To Visit BeachesNegril
In all of my years of travel, I have never traveled to a Beaches resort. Maybe it's because I don't have children....maybe it's because of the price tag....or maybe I just assumed that the Sandals resorts that I visited had to be more luxurious because it was catering to adults. I'm not quite sure of the exact reason that Beaches resort was not on my radar. However, now that I have been to one Beaches location I want to go to all of them.

Living in Florida with Lupus
Yes, I am a Lupie, a spoonie, and a "fatiguer" (ha! I just made that one up, but it fits). Living my life in Florida with this chronic illness is not a walk in the park. If we're speaking literally, it's not a nice walk anywhere. However, I like to consider myself a warrior. A true warrior is a brave and experienced fighter.

11 Things You Should Know Before Moving to Florida....1. Humidity – The humidity is an absolute high all year long, with the exception of a few months each year that we call winter. Embrace the humidity. The moist air will add a glow to your face and a frizz to your hair that will make you look just like everyone else. In all honesty, the Floridians barely feel it anymore and will pretend that they don’t know what you’re talking about if you bring it up.

1. Prepare for the weather!
In Florida, you can typically get away with flipflops for 364 of the 365 days a year. Okay, that is a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point. The weather in Florida is usually hot, cool, or a chance of a quick cold front.
Letter to Mr. Stewart and The Sanda
Dear Mr. Butch Stewart and the Sandals Family,
You have created memories for couples throughout the world for decades. I’m sure that your resorts hold quintessential thoughts of love, anxiety, and hope around every corner. I was one of those couples. 10 years ago, I married by husband and honeymooned at the Royal Plantation property in Jamaica. At that time, I knew that I wanted to see the world, but I didn’t know where to start or which resort to trust.
Orange Meets Peach - #5
On our last morning, I woke up without an ache in sight. Praise the Lord! I slept in the double bed all by myself the night before. I had the chance to spread out and fall into the mini coma that I had been waiting for since I arrived in Atlanta.
Orange Meets Peach - #4
Oh, the pain! Okay, the pull out bed was worse. It was day 3, and my back pain was increasing by the day. I laid in the bed and wondered if it was too late to get another room with my very own bed. I coughed a few times and I could hear my cousins start to turn in their beds. I thought, maybe if I coughed a little bit longer, a little bit harder they would actually wake up and start our day.....It worked! ; ) They stirred in their beds and started to open their eyes.
Orange Meets Peach -# 3
I woke up to a dark room in a double bed that was obviously not made for two people. With a crick in my neck, and a dull ache on my back. I lied there wondering if there was any possibility of me falling back asleep. After tossing for a few minutes, and knowing that my cousins would definitely not be getting up any time soon.... I got up and decided to explore the city. Okay, maybe not the city, but a 5 minute walking distance in each direction of the hotel. Atlanta is such an interesting city.
Orange Meets Peach - #2
Blog #2: The day had finally come! It was time to go to Georgia, and I was excited to let my girls' trip begin. All of of my fears were currently in the back of my mind, and all I could think of was my mini-vacation ahead of me. My husband drove me to the airport. I wish that I could say that we spent our last moments professing our love for each other and expressing how much we would miss each other.
Orange Meets Peach - #1
As you all know, my roots are in New York, but I am a Florida girl to the bone. I have only visited a few states in the US, and I tend to stick to the states that I know. Due to the tropical climate in Florida, when it's time to go on vacation I pick the sunshine and beaches here, or I go to an even hotter climate in the Caribbean or Central America. It's really hard to leave paradise, put on a winter coat and head north. However, it's time to start shaking things up!
I consider myself a pretty good tipper. I tip my server, hairstylist, nail technicians, and massage therapist to name a few of the people that I tip. However, sometimes I wonder if the art of tipping has become a standard task that we do that doesn't match the quality of the service, and mentally we believe that it only fits certain professions. Initially, most Americans tipped servers in restaurants because they were underpaid.
